Change. What is change to me may not be the same with others. Thus, this is really relative.
One thing funny about the idea of changing is that we only have the courage to change when we are about to start a new year.
Some people make a list of the things that they will change about themselves, while others just have these things in mind. However, when the year is about to end, same changes are on the list again. This is, I think, because we are obsessed with the idea
of ‘New Year’s resolution’ but we are not determined to really be changed.
I guess, if only others would pay attention to the idea that we first have to change our perception before we can achieve so much of what we can’t even achieve less. We have to0 change our perception towards New Year’s resolution. We don’t really get the nerve to do what we really ought to do, thinking that we will never run out of time and that there is always a new year. They come and they are plenty anyway.
Years could be plenty, yes, but they’re not in our hands as well as our lives. If for instance, there are still plenty of new years, they might no longer be for us. Our lives may end tomorrow or the days after next.
We should not be in live with the enthusiasm that the season brings because it only makes us used to it. What we should think every New Year is how it transforms us from one glory to another.
If we only try to look at the true essence of resolution, we will really be able to grab our portion.
